Linda J. Murphy Scholarship
The Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis has awarded scholarships to deserving law students since 1996.  The Linda J. Murphy Scholarship was named after Linda J. Murphy, who passed away in 1999.  Linda was an outstanding member of the WLA, and served as its President in 1987-1988.  The Linda J. Murphy Scholarship is currently administered by WLA’s charitable arm, The Women Lawyers' Association Foundation.  Scholarships generally range from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on the amount of funds available in any given year and the number of recipients chosen by the Scholarship Committee at its discretion.  The WLA Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selects one or more recipients to recommend to the WLA Foundation’s Board of Directors for approval of the award disbursement.
