President's Award
The President's Award is awarded annually by the outgoing President of the WLA at the Installation Banquet. This award is given to an outstanding WLA member or a mentor of the outgoing President. The following is a list of honorees:
2025 - Amy Collignon Gunn
Amy Collignon Gunn is a founding member of Gunn | Slater where she focuses her practice on plaintiff personal injury trial work including product liability, medical negligence and motor vehicle crashes.
Amy has been recognized for her commitment to her clients and the legal community through induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers as well as receipt of the John C. Shepherd Professionalism Award, the Lon O. Hocker Trial Lawyer Award, the 40 Under 40 Award presented by the St. Louis Business Journal, the Women’s Justice Rising Star and Litigation Practitioner Awards, the Thomas G. Strong Trial Attorney Award among others.
She has been consistently named to Best Lawyers in America® since 2009 including 2017 Lawyer of the Year in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Action- Plaintiffs- St. Louis, 2018 Lawyer of the Year in Medical Malpractice Law-Plaintiffs-St. Louis, 2020 Lawyer of the Year in Product Liability Litigation- Plaintiffs- St. Louis and 2022 Lawyer of the Year Personal Injury Litigation- Plaintiffs – St. Louis. She has further been honored by the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers® since 2008 where she has been ranked in the Top 10 attorneys from 2021-present.

The Unity Summer Social is presented by the WLA in partnership with the Missouri Asian-American Bar Association (MAABA), Mound City Bar Association (MCBA), Hispanic Bar Association of St. Louis (HBA), South Asian Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (SABA), and Italian American Lawyers of St. Louis.
